65 districts(kecamatan) in West Java may Grants Internet Access
Bandung, Kominfo Newsroom – Ministry of Information and Communication (Kominfo) in this year 2009 released Public Communication of Indonesia Program, as one of the efforts to make Indonesia as part of the Global Information Society in 2015.
Of them with access to the Internet community or the Community Access Point (CAP) in the rural areas, the condition is one of at least 50 percent of the Indonesian people have internet access, and because of that Depkominfo released Public Communication of Indonesia Program.
With that help ”the future internet will connected to a number of public facilities such as hospitals, health centers, village hall, so that the benefits of Internet access for its users will feel”, said Director General Applications Telematika Depkominfo Cahyana Ahmadjayadi received at West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan in Bandung , Friday (12 / 6) evening.
Attended the meeting which took place in the building is Pakuan Bandung, Sukabumi, among others, the Regent Sukmawijaya, Aceng Fikri Garut Regent, Vice Regent of Cianjur, and range Diskominfo West Java.
According to the plan, for this year’s CAP program will be in 3 provinces, namely West Java, Lampung and Banten. There are about 220 units in the third dot location in the province will be built facilities CAP.

This program, according to Cahyana, the form of grant assistance from the International Bank of Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) of U.S. $ 1,868,338.00 through the Ministry of Communication and Information.
This assistance aims to improve the strategic role of internet access in rural areas in order to speed up literation community in the field of information and communication technology. Agreement with the World Bank have been signed in Jakarta on 21 April 2009 ago.
Meanwhile, the West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan welcome and fully support the program because this program Depkominfo he thought that was very important, considering that the internet access will be able to help the community in obtaining information useful.
Internet, will provide much useful information that is needed residents, both for students, traders, teachers, boarding, and so forth. And that the CAP is expected to open during the isolation of this information manacle rural areas.
In addition, in order to build a healthy culture of information and responsibility, Depkominfo also released Internet Healthy ”program” that aims to filter information that violates the norms of law and morality.
